We have a strong team of ministers in the circuit, each with a broad range of experience. The team is led by Superintendent Reverend MacBean & Co-Superintendent Karen George.
Revd. Duncan MacBean

Duncan is the minister with pastoral responsibility for Beckenham, Emmanuel and New Eltham. He was born in South Africa and lived there until he and his family emigrated to the UK in 2003. He worked as a Management Trainer before entering ministry within the Methodist Church with his wife, Laura, in 1996.
Duncan trained as a Probationer Minister from 2000. After moving to the UK, Duncan worked in Lincoln North, Epworth and Crowle, and Scunthorpe. Never having lived in London before, he and his family are looking forward to the diversity of hobbies and cultural events available on the doorstep. Spare time is split between time with my sons and a daughter, and nursing an old motorbike to its next destination.

Revd. Rodolphe Blanchard-Kowal

Rodolphe has ministerial responsibilities for Emmanuel, Sidcup.
Rev Rodolphe Blanchard-Kowal is a United Reformed Church minister in the Bexley Pastorate (URC). This includes Emmanuel United Church Sidcup. Emmanuel is a Local Ecumenical Partnership between the URC and the Methodist Church.
Rodolphe has served in the United Protestant Church of France (2011-2017) and the Church of Scotland (2017-2023). He is now happy to serve Emmanuel Church in Sidcup and is grateful to be involved in two great Christian denominations, the Methodist Church and the Reformed Church.
Although the current context is very challenging for our churches, Rodolphe deeply believes that the church is relevant for our time and that people and the world need the faith and love of Jesus Christ more than ever.
Rodolphe is keen to find new connections between our congregations and people in the community.
