We have a strong team of ministers in the circuit, each with a broad range of experience. The team is led by Superintendent Rev Karen George.

Revd. Eric Bediako

Eric has been a minister since September 2025, after training at the Queen’s Foundation in Birmingham. He lived in London before training for presbyteral ministry and had the opportunity to remain there for his first appointment.

Eric is married to Beatrice, and together they have two daughters and a son. He enjoys cycling, walking, and design work, drawing on his background as a civil engineer.

In ministry, he is passionate about the church’s presence in the community and about extending our mission to those who are often overlooked, because that is what the kingdom of God is about. He is also interested in fresh theological ideas and all things biblical, especially the critical reading of Scripture.

Eric was born in Ghana and moved to the UK, where he initially considered further study but instead worked in a variety of roles before completing his training as an accredited Local Preacher in 2009. From there, the call to presbyteral ministry grew. He loves what ministry brings to his life and to his relationship with God, and he is always seeking to meet God through encounters with others.

Eric holds pastoral responsiblity for Orpington and Petts Wood Methodist Churches.

Deacon Jessica Dalton

Jessica joined us in September 2026 as our new Circuit Deacon. She look’s forward to facilitating the continuing development of the circuit’s mission and outreach priorities. She has a passion for making Church and God as accessible as possible and so am especially enthusiastic about continuing to develop our SENsational Church and Soul Space. Jess began her training in Diaconal Ministry at The Queen’s Foundation, Birmingham in September 2024, prior to this she was a Special Needs Learning Support Assistant in her home county of Essex.

Dawn Venn

Dawn joins the team in September 2026 and will initially be our Pastoral Care Lay Worker with New Eltham, Mottingham and Freeman Ghanaian Methodist Churches. In addition to leading worship, Dawn will be reponsible for pastoral care and community engagement.

Benneieve Lawrance

Benneieve joins the team in September 2026 taking on a new role as an Anna Friend. Benneive will be working with the ministerial team to offer spiritual and pastoral support.
