Why Policies Matter

Policies keep everyone—beneficiaries, staff, volunteers, and trustees—protected. They guide decisions and show good governance. At Widmore Methodist Circuit, we aim to make sure our policies are clear, simple, and easy to follow.

Safeguarding

Safeguarding is a priority for us, in everything we do. Our Safeguarding Policies can be found and read at every entrance to our Churches. These make sure everyone knows how to identify and report a concern or incident. Trustees, volunteers and staff are checked to ensure they are suitable to act in their roles within the church, which includes holding a current Due Dilligence Check (DDC, formerly known as DBS check) and completing safeguarding training. Please check out the DDC website for more info: Due Diligence Checking Ltd

You can access our Circuit Safeguarding and other policies via the links below. Please note that individual churches may have their own local policies in place which take precedence where applicable.
